Just to note that Tyler Reddick was penalized 10 points “for a violation with ballast. NASCAR cited Section 14.11.2.1.A in issuing the penalty. That rule states that “any and all ballast added to the vehicle must be secured inside a ballast container(s). Additional ballast containers will be be permitted to be added to the chassis.”
There are still a couple of teams that have not yet replaced Alex Bowman (if they want to) who now has 3 weeks of no points due to his injury from last month. “The driver of the No. 48 … has no timetable to return, but he has a doctor’s appointment this week where he will undergo scans to see how he is healing. The 30-year-old was injured in a sprint car event last month at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.”
This weekend NASCAR returns to North Wilkesboro Speedway albeit only for the All-Star weekend. The race is Sunday at 6pm.
