As some of you may have known, there was a lot going on behind the scenes of the website this offseason … The big one was migrating the site to a new host … same name, so it should all be transparent. We are now with Hostinger – Saved big bucks by switching … the past 3 years cost us a total of $251.64 for the 3 yrs. By switching and getting an introductory price, I was able to get 51 months (4 yrs +3 months) for $118.80 total, so well worth the effort !! And this will all factor into this year’s fee !
I’ve also made some advances with setting up new years and new segments … the first thing you’ll notice on your team page is that you will need to select your team name ….currently you have 3 choices and it’s 1 time and done. You can select last years name, any name you’ve used before, or a new unique name. This saves me from going in and manually adding them every year for each of you as I have been doing. Once your name is set, you can make driver picks as you have in the past.
You’ll also notice that all the previous years charts are back and functioning normally. That’s a load off my mind, mainly just because it was bugging me that it happened and that I hadn’t gotten fixed… but now it is !
Also note the Team Menu above your team chart …. one line in particular -> Team Chart(s) – view, pdf , spreadsheet for any year/segment. This link will take you to a page to view , create a pdf to save or print, or create a spreadsheet to download any Team Chart for any year or segment – except for the current one until the deadline passes. This is a huge timesaver – prior, I was creating unique files for each year and segment and matching the timing so it was available when the deadline passed. This link is also available on the menu on the top of the main page labeled ‘TEAM CHART(S)’
With all that said, it’s time that I need you guys to kick the tires and check things out and see that they work. Everything seems fine when I try it, but extra sets of eyes always helps. So please go and set your team name, make some picks , check out the other sections of the site… You May even see the current year and segment change just so I can see all aspects of what’s happening. This is all being done on a throwaway DB so don’t worry about what picks or team names you choose … once this is complete, I will repopulate with the real DB. If you run into any issues or something doesn’t work like you think it should, just send me an email … we’re one step closer to the 2026 Season.
