This is not the season wrap-up post, but that is coming … I will be working on it over the next few days as I can, and put together the final wrap-up after that and begin dispensing the winnings ! That’s the 1st item I wanted to mention.
The 2nd item is related to the current status of the team charts … I seemed to have made a booboo. It will heal, it will just take some time. If you look at your team page , you will most likely see some missing segments – either for this year or previous years or both. Over the last several weeks I had been working on some admin pages that will help make some of the ‘admin’ tasks easier… One of them was a page that would allow me to setup the ABCD drivers for a new year and add any new driver to the league. What I normally have to do is go directly into the database and add them manually from a list. This new page would work similar to picking drivers for a segment. I would pick a year, see the current chart, and then add a driver from the dropdown list of all drivers. It also had a delete option in which I was building in safeguards to have previous years set to N as to not change them. OK, I’ll try to keep this short – probably not ! In testing I would only use future years… early on in the process I was getting some errors, and I found a way to fix it. I don’t know 100% if this is what caused the issue, but I think as I added & deleted drivers in these future years, this cascaded to user picks (somehow). Really not sure how. Thing is I didn’t notice it until way too late when I went to my home page Saturday and cried ! Thankfully, part of the process of making picks, adds all picks to a static database table at the same time as it puts them in the main table. So all the data is there, I will just need to get it back into your team charts…. It will take a while, and I will keep you updated … After this years summary and payouts are done, I will begin with restoring 2023, and work my way backwards.
