Hi guys,
I’ve been working on updating the submission process to become ‘real time’ submissions. This will also eliminate the manual process of me uploading the submissions from the form database to our database. And the already simple process is even simpler for you ‘team owners’ .. You’ll also have the ability to easily update your picks prior to the deadline. The code is crude, but it works. And there is even more I want to build in , like populating the drop-downs straight from the database (sample on the page, but no action happens) , and validating picks for no duplicates … after working on this for a while, I’m sure I can accomplish those things in due time… But it is functional , and I’m at a point where I need some testers … Take a look at the screenshot of the new form, which by the way must be accessed from your team page. It uses the database data for some info, so it must be run from there after you are logged in. And I’ve also included a 2 min video which includes logging in, submitting Playoff picks, and then modifying them and seeing the results instantly in your team chart. All you have to do, is select 4 drivers… no more selecting your team name, and owner name, and typing in your email… just pick the 4 drivers and hit submit. And you’re done. There’s really no need for previewing or sending an email , since it’s live and you can change it right away if you need to.
I’m hoping you can all take a moment to watch the video and give it a try (or more if you want). During the beta test, you can only make or modify picks for 2020 S4 … I will be purging any submissions prior to actually using it for the playoffs … So add picks and modify them , and periodically I’ll be purging them so you can try again. O just let me know if you want to delete them so you can try again. Just remember, this is just for checking that it works every time. Don’t worry how many times you modify them or try it… I’d totally appreciate it.
Thanks, Steve
