Hello fellow NASCAR fans!
First, I hope all of you and your families are safe and healthy during the very trying ordeal.
Before the pandemic stopped life as we know it, NASCAR and our little pool, completed 4 events. As you have seen, NASCAR is going to resume racing with 4 events in May. They will have 2 races at Darlington (May 17th and 20th) and 2 races at Charlotte (May 24th and 27th). NASCAR has also stated that they are 100% planning on holding 36 points races in 2020, so at this time I plan on keeping our pool intact. We will finish Segment #1 with the 4 races in May as that will keep us on track with 8 events in segment #1. We will roll into Segment #2 starting with Kansas on May 31st. at that time we should know the schedule for the June races and I will let you all know the segment #2 cut-off.
As you may or may not know, Kyle Larson has been released and replaced by Matt Kenseth. Sorry to the 7 teams that have Kyle on their team in Segment 1…. Per league rules, these teams will receive zero driver points for Kyle for the next 2 weeks, and then they can replace him if they want to.
