It looks like NASCAR has a real problem with the Rear windows and Deck Lids on a few cars.
I was alerted last week that penalties were handed down for both the Dover and Kansas races.
Here is the official notification:
“Dover (5/6): #19-Suarez; Rear window not flush to Deck Lid; 20 driver/owner pts; Crew chief Scott Graves fined $50,000. Car chief Todd Brewer suspended two races.”
“Dover (5/6): #14-Bowyer; 20 driver/owner pts; Rear Window Support and Structure; Crew chief Mike Bugarewicz fined $50,000. Car chief Jerry Cook suspended two races.”
“Kansas (5/12): #42-Larson; 20 driver/owner pts; Rear Window Support Braces; crew chief Chad Johnston fined $50,000, Car chief David Bryant suspended two races.”
This affected many teams – please note that Parkhill racing is now the high point total at Kansas with 173.
Take a look at the revisions for week 11 and week 12 – and please don’t shoot the messenger!
